Alaskan Malamute
- Bred by the Mahlemut Inuit living on the Artic coast of western Alaska, these handsome dogs have been used as sled pullers for centuries. The Timber Wolf has participated in their development. They are affectionate dogs who play willingly with   people and other dogs that they know our dogs who are raised with cats play with them too! Malamutes are powerful animals with a deep chest and outstanding stamina. They weigh 85 to 125 lbs. and stand 23-28" at the shoulders. Call us at  231-829-5110.

At North Ridge we are a family raising dogs. We are not a puppy mill. Our dogs, live on the beautiful pine river near Cadillac Michigan. We are proud that Leloo comes from a champion bloodline and know Lobo would be a champion if we showed him. We pride ourselves on raising quality pets for people who share our love of the breed. We follow AKC standards for breeding. All of our dogs are  extremely healthy with  wonderful   temperments:  outgoing and friendly. We have young children and cats and all live in harmony because of the way the dogs are raised from a young age.

Our male Lobo (pictured on right above) has successfully sired three litters of healthy puppies. His stud fee is $500 guaranteed. He is extremely good tempered and sweet. He weighed 120 pounds at his last check-up. We prefer not to ship but may under certain circumstances. Our puppies are never sold to pet stores, brokers or dealers.

Our female Leloo has a multi-champion bloodline.  She is smaller than Lobo and has long fur. These are our pets. Our animals are raised with love, care, attention and discipline.. You should be aware of Malamute traits as you consider this breed. Their number one need is    discipline as they can be very strong willed. They are excellent parents. You can see how he lets Leloo (at four months) push him around. Their number two need is exercise. Conditions in which you can raise your puppy should be a factor in your decision to adopt one. New owners must sign a contract and understand the breed. Without a proper fence a malamute WILL run away.
